Terms of use and licence

Short, because the product is free, stores almost nothing about you, and the only thing that really matters is what happens if it gets something wrong.

The important one: this is a shortlist, not advice

App Footprint Auditor tells you which Marketplace apps have left no trace in your Jira configuration, and which have been seen changing issues. It cannot tell you that an app is unused, and it never claims to. Apps whose whole purpose is to display things — reports, panels, charts, read-only integrations — write nothing into your configuration and are invisible to this method even when your team uses them daily.

Every finding is a question to ask, not a decision to act on. Confirm with your team or the vendor before cancelling anything. If you cancel a subscription your organisation depended on, that decision was yours; we accept no liability for it. This is stated plainly because it is the single most likely way this tool could cause you harm.

Licence

Subject to these terms, Agon Systems grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use App Footprint Auditor on Atlassian Cloud sites you administer or are authorised to administer, for as long as it remains available. No fee is payable.

The app and its underlying software remain the property of Agon Systems. You may not redistribute, resell, sublicense, or attempt to decompile or reverse engineer it, except to the extent that restriction is prohibited by law. Nothing here transfers ownership of anything.

Your data stays yours. Configuration read by the app is your organisation's, held inside your own Atlassian site. We claim no rights over it, receive none of it, and have no ability to access it. See the privacy page for what is read and what is stored.

Cost

Free, permanently. Not a trial, not a freemium tier with the answer behind a paywall, and not free-for-now. If a paid tier ever exists it will be for capabilities that do not exist today; nothing you can do with the app now will be taken away and charged for later.

What you can expect from us

What you should not expect: a support SLA, an uptime guarantee, or a commitment that this will exist in five years. It is free software from a very small operation and you should weigh it accordingly.

Warranty and liability

The app and this website are provided “as is”, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss arising from use of the app or reliance on its findings — including cancelled subscriptions, lost configuration, or business interruption.

Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

Acceptable use

Install it on Jira sites you administer or are authorised to administer. Do not use it to access configuration you are not entitled to see. Beyond that there is nothing to abuse: the app has no accounts, no quotas and no shared infrastructure — it runs inside your own Atlassian tenancy.

Ending it

Uninstall the app whenever you like. That removes its stored data with it and ends these terms. We may stop distributing the app at any time; that would not affect installations already on your site, which run inside Atlassian’s infrastructure rather than ours.

Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction. Your use of Jira itself remains governed by your agreement with Atlassian.

Privacy is covered separately, in detail, on the privacy page.
